Assistant Director of the Center for Meteorite Studies at Arizona State University.
Primary responsibilities involve coordination of the education and public outreach activities of the Center for Meteorite Studies (CMS), including management of public outreach events involving CMS, generation and maintenance of CMS publications and informational materials (including, but not limited to website and newsletter content), and oversight of public exhibits (e.g., the CMS Museum, but also concerning any other exhibits involving CMS collection or educational materials loaned to other institutions).
Other responsibilities include assisting the CMS Director, as and when required, with Center related activities. The position provides 6 months of salary support. It is expected that the successful candidate will conduct independent and/or collaborative research in a field of planetary science and will be encouraged to seek up to 6 months of salary support from extramural sources for these research activities.
A Ph.D. in the physical sciences is required.
