Nininger Award Deadline Extended to April 7

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE 2014 NININGER AWARD DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: The deadline for the Nininger Award has been extended to midnight (MST) on April 7, 2015.

We have recently encountered some issues with uploading of files larger than 8 MB through the application page. If you submitted a paper for consideration for the Nininger Award and have not yet received an acknowledgement, please email nininger[at]asu.edu to request confirmation of receipt. For submission of files exceeding 8 MB, please send as an email attachment to nininger[at]asu.edu with “Nininger award submission” in the subject line.

The Center for Meteorite Studies at Arizona State University is pleased to announce the application opportunity for the 2014 Nininger Meteorite Award for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing research in meteoritical sciences.

The Nininger Meteorite Award recognizes outstanding student achievement in the meteoritical sciences as embodied by an original research paper.

Applicants must be the first, but not sole, author of the paper and must be studying at an educational institution in the United States.  Papers must cover original research conducted by the student and must have been written, submitted, or published between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014. 

The Nininger Award recipient receives $1,000 and an engraved plaque commemorating the honor.
