Nininger Student Travel Award

The Nininger Student Travel Award supports attendance of the 2024 Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC) of 4 School of Earth and Space Exploration (SESE) undergraduate and graduate students, to present their latest results in the field of meteoritics and planetary sciences. Awards will be up to $1000 for those attending in person, and will cover the registration fee for those attending virtually.

Eligibility
Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate major or a graduate student in a Masters or PhD program in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. List of previous recipients.
Application
Students applying for this travel support must submit the following:
  1. Copy of their first-author abstract to the LPSC (limit one abstract per applicant).
  2. Letter explaining why they would like to present their research at LPSC, what they will contribute to and gain from the conference, and whether they will attend LPSC virtually or in person (1 page maximum).
  3. Curriculum vitae (2 pages maximum).
  4. Name and contact information of the faculty member serving as their primary advisor.

A brief description of the research presented will be posted on the SESE and BCMS websites.
