Center for Meteorite Studies

DSCN3361For projects where spatial location/resolution is important, sampling via a New Wave Research MicroMill allows precisely located drilling of geological materials.

The sample powder excavated from holes as small as 50 microns in diameter is collected and processed through normal elemental separation chemistry, then analyzed in solution via mass spectrometry.
