CMS Director Meenakshi Wadhwa spent the winter in Antarctica, collecting meteorites as part of the Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANSMET) 2012-2013 field season. This expedition was the subject of a recent ASU News article called "Hunting for Meteorites at the Bottom of the World", which includes a photo gallery highlighting the team's finds and working in Antarctica.
This season marked the first time the ANSMET team included 2 researchers from the same institution at the same time – School of Earth & Space Exploration professor Thomas Sharp and CMS Director Meenakshi Wadhwa!
You can read their blogs from the field, as well as those of other ANSMET team members, here!
