An international group of researchers has discovered the 5th-largest meteorite ever to be recovered from East Antarctica, a 40 lb ordinary chondrite. You can read more about the discovery, and see photos of the expedition here!
Every year, scientists from around the world flock to Antarctica to collect meteorites.
